OH SNAP!Just when you thought that things would finally die down and things would get back to "normal" (whatever that is these days), TIGERGATE just gathered more steam. Now I know I previously wrote how everyone should just move on from this fiasco of a story and focus on more important things. But I'll be dammed if this thing hasn't turned into that full-blown car wreck that you just can't turn away from. Now it's turning into a clusterf*** of a situation for the PGA darling.
It seems that not ONE, but TWO more "mistresses" have come out of the closet to confess to having dalliances with Le Tigre. One in particular, a reality TV star, even claims to have a boatload of steamy text messages from him saved on her phone. Now how legit those text-messages are remains to be seen (let's face it, anyone could program "TIGER W" on their phone and say it was from him), however, whether it be true or not, this kind of publicity is the last thing he and his family needs right now. Stay tuned.
TREE LIGHTING tonight. To me, that signals the Christmas season's finally kicking off here in NYC. Of course, traffic will be a nightmare tonight with the actual lighting set to go off at around 9pm. Folks will begin to gather around Rockefeller Center, however, as early as 3pm to get a prime spot. Good luck with that.
I remember my first Tree Lighting back in '85; Went down there with my girlfriend at the time. I remember it was cold as hell (we're talking about 30 degrees) and we're crammed in with thousands of people for what seemed like forever. No access to bathrooms, hot chocolate, etc. If it wasn't for the fact that I was with this girl, I would have left hours earlier. But we stuck it out and after they finally lit the tree, I have to admit, it was cool. But I can also say that I haven't been back to a tree lighting since. Been there, done that.
