A BRIEF RESPITE
The balmy weather we've had the last couple of days has been a welcome sigh of relief. Prior to that, we've been dealing with arctic-like temps that forced many people to stay indoors. However, with temps soaring near 60 degrees yesterday and probably near 50's today, it makes one want to go out and take a leisurely stroll. Well, enjoy it because we're about to get hit with another Alberta Clipper by the end of the week. Yep, back to normal with brutally cold temps and yes, snow. How much snow is yet to be determined, but don't put away those Uggs yet, ladies.
That being said, I'm still looking forward to the weekend. For starters, it's our scheduled Staff Day Out. A few times a year, we try to get together as a staff to go out, blow off some steam and have fun away from Third and Long. It's always a good time and a great bonding experience, especially because not everyone on the staff get to see each other that often. On tap this weekend: bowling. That should be an interesting time.
This weekend also marks the end of "N0-Juice January" for yours truly. A whole month alcohol-free to start the year right. I look forward to opening up a nice bottle of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout to celebrate. Nice!
Speaking of the staff, I think we're putting together a team for Pub Trivia night and try our hand at the Tournament of Champions. I think we should make for a respectable showing. Look out!
As I type this, I have the Maury Show on in the background. This show is a clusterf***. How anyone would agree to go on this show and not know what's going to happen is bizarre to me. It's a train wreck you cant' quite look away from.
DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS tops the bill tonight, with $1 BUD/BUD LIGHT DRAFTS flowing ALL NIGHT LONG! There's some great NCAA Hoops action, as well as NHL and Australian Open Quarter Finals on tap so swing by after work!
