DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

Last night's much-anticipated matchup between Team USA and Team Canada in Olympic Hockey competition more than lived up to its hype, much to the delight (and eventual disappointment) of a capacity-filled crowd.

From the opening faceoff, both teams went at it, tooth and nail, delivering hard hits, great shots and fantastic saves throughout the game. It was intense! I, personally had a hard time with this game as I didn't know who to root for, as I am a fan of both teams. I guess I just wanted to see a good game and both countries delivered.

The fan count probably went 70% Canadian, 30% pro-USA, but the minority group more than held their own, especially when the Americans took the lead and had the Canadian contingent back-pedaling, much to the dismay of the Canadian fans in attendance.

When the USA pulled out the improbable victory over the highly-regarded Canadians, the place erupted with chants of U-S-A! U-S-A! It was crazy! The funny thing is that this was only an opening round match! If the place went nuts during an opening round match, I can only imagine what the place will be like if the two teams meet for the Gold Medal! One hell of a game!

In fact the whole weekend turned out to be a pretty good one. The bar marked the return of Ultimate Fighting Championship with UFC 110: Norgueira vs Velasquez.

During last night's PPV event, the place was raided by yes, another annoying bachelorette party.

They were wild. Or at least they thought they were.

Then there was this chick from Norway. Apparently she didn't appreciate THE CHEF taking pictures of her. Maybe she was here on a top-secret mission....

She really wasn't happy about getting her picture taken.

See what I mean...

After FIRE MARSHALL ED got her to calm down and assured her that she wouldn't be deported, she finally relaxed (note the WWE-style headlock she has him in)...

It was a good night, in spite of all of the weird shit going on.

Overall, it turned out to be a pretty good weekend, much needed, I might add. With the dreary weather taking place, it's made the neighborhood a bit dreary of late. This was a refreshing change of pace.

TONIGHT: MUG NIGHT MADNESS featuring Beer Bingo (4pm-close)! $1 mugs, Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light OR $2 mugs, all other domestic drafts ALL NIGHT LONG! Beer Bingo kicks off at 7pm with great prizes to be won and best of all- it's FREE TO PLAY!

That's It. That's All I Got.
