BEER BINGO MADNESS

I worked a rare Monday night and got to see BEER BINGO up close and personal and I have to say I was impressed. The atmosphere of the evening was totally laid back and the patrons who made the trek to play really got into the action.




The host of the evening, OPIE CUNNINGHAM, kept the crowd into it by offering up varying options of the game and giving away lots of free beers and cool (and sometimes odd) bar swag. And in between games, he even got folks involved in a Team Jenga mini-tournament, which was pretty cool. Folks seemed to be into that.

Just a typical Monday night....

The bar itself was pretty steady, not crazy but steady for most of the night up until about midnight when we got hit with a party of about twenty teeny-boppers, out celebrating a birthday of one of their friends. They wanted to take advantage of the dollar draft special and watch the Olympics. Slightly annoying but hey, it's Monday night, so you take the good with the bad. Aside from them, it was a pretty interesting evening.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, WINTER OLYMPICS and FAT TUESDAY FUN!

This afternoon we're offering up more excitement from the Winter Olympics, including my favorite sport of the Games: WOMEN'S CURLING (5:00pm)! CHAMPIONS LEAGUE action also resumes this afternoon with Manchester United in action (2:30pm)!

And finally, it is FAT TUESDAY, the day to let it all hang out before Lent and Ash Wednesday! And at Third and Long, that means BEADS, BEERS, BABES, BOOBS, BEERS, BEADS.. you catch my drift. With $1 Bud/Bud Light mugs, $2 Abita Amber Ale mugs, $3 Hurricane shots and plenty of giveaways, who know where the night will take us? It should be another rip-roaring time.
