MARCH MAYHEM...

Yesterday was supposed to be the day for the "Big Dawgs" of the Big East as the top seeded teams finally got to play in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Big East Tournament is unique in that there are so many teams playing in the tournament that the top four teams get a "double-bye", which allows them to play two less games than everyone else. It's supposed to be a reward for finishing at the top of their admittedly tough conference.

However, after yesterday's action, it looked as if having this "perk" turned out to be a bad thing as three of the top four seeded teams (SYRACUSE, VILLANOVA and PITTSBURGH) lost their matchups, and the fourth team (WEST VIRGINIA), needed a desperation 3-pt shot to pull out their win. Talk about wild!

The final four of the Big East tournament takes place tonight with GEORGETOWN facing off against MARQUETTE while WEST VIRGINIA faces NOTRE DAME; both match-ups should be great games and of course, we'll carry all of the action at the bar.

In the meantime, this afternoon is filled with tournament games from all over the country (ACC, BIG 10, BIG 12, ATLANTIC 10, C-USA, PAC-10). We'll carry the games live so grab an umbrella, gather up the office mates and swing by for an afternoon of hoops hysteria. $4 domestic drafts all afternoon!

More to come!
