LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL?

As we approach the month of April, one has to wonder whether or not we're still in NYC or living in Seattle, with all of the rain being dumped on us the last couple of weeks. Well it looks as if there's (sun)light at the end of the tunnel as the weather mavens are predicting not only sunshine for the rest of the week, but temps in the 70's for the holiday weekend! I'll take that in a heartbeat.

I have to gear up for some more meetings this afternoon with beer reps as they throw sales pitch after sales pitch at me. It's some of the not-so-glamorous part of running a bar that the patrons don't get to see. It's not the most exciting thing to do and quite frankly, at times it can be a pain in the ass but it's a necessary evil. Some sales reps I have a very good relationship with and enjoy talking beers with them. For example, I had a meeting yesterday with a beer rep by the name of Molly; while I didn't really know her that well (she was covering a route for someone else), what would have been normally a five minute meet turned into an hour-long discussion about various brands and such. She was very knowledgeable about her beers and a pleasure to talk to. These are the kind of meetings I like. Others, quite frankly, are somewhat clueless about their product and are only looking to pad their numbers. Those are the ones I could do without.

Fortunately the meetings I have scheduled for today are with reps that I enjoy meeting with, so it should make my "Hump Day" tolerable. Keep your fingers crossed...

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCHES continue this afternoon with ARSENAL facing off against BARCELONA at 2:30pm. Yesterday saw a mild upset as MANCHESTER UNITED was shocked by a last-second goal by BAYERN MUNICH and as a result, find themselves in a big hole going into next Wednesday's replay at Old Trafford. Should be interesting.

PUB TRIVIA TOURNAMENT of CHAMPIONS FINALS TONIGHT! (8PM)! It all comes down to this! Teams have been competing against one another for weeks and it all comes down to tonight. Who will be crowned the "Big Dawgs of Trivia"? Stay tuned... PLEASE NOTE: Even if you didn't qualify for the championship, you and your friends can still play for prizes so feel free to stop by! $4 Mixed Well Drinks (for ladies) and $15 Miller High Life buckets all night long!

That's It. That's All I Got.
