DOOMSDAY WEDNESDAY

If you are a big sports fanatic as I am, then you know that today is a HUGE day in the sports circles if you are a fan of international soccer, basketball and/or hockey. For starters, in CHAMPIONS LEAGUE soccer, we're down to the last match of the semi-final round, featuring INTER MILAN vs BARCELONA (2:30pm). Winner faces BAYERN MUNICH in the Champions League final on May 22. Inter Milan is up 3-1 in aggregate so Barcelona faces an uphill battle to overcome their deficit and move on. Should be interesting.

Then we have the NBA Playoffs; DENVER has their backs against the wall as they face elimination at the hands of UTAH in the first round of the playoffs. Denver was looked at as one of the teams expected to go far in the playoffs. I guess that's why they play the games- anything is possible.

And finally, we have another Game 7 in the NHL Playoffs. This time it features the #1 seed Washington Capitals against the #8 Montreal Canadiens. No one expected this series to go more than five games, tops, yet the pesky Canadiens have proven the naysayers wrong up to this point, and tonight we shall see if they can muster up one more victory and pull off one of the biggest upsets in recent NHL history. Puck drops at 7pm. Catch the game live (w/sound)!

And while all of this is going on, flying under the radar are the NEW YORK METS. Currently riding a hot streak and finding themselves in first place after sweeping the L.A. Dodgers in a doubleheader, the Mets have their fans dumbfounded thus far. Not much was expected from them this season but so far, they have produced. How long this hot streak continues is anybody's guess. Stay tuned.

There's plenty of day baseball on tap this afternoon so if you are around, swing by for lunch and catch a couple of innings. We're also airing the Champions League semi-final (2:30pm), featuring $3 Bud/Bud Light/Miller Lite drafts (12-4pm).

TONIGHT: NHL Game 7 Viewing Party (Montreal vs Washington, 7pm), featuring $4 Mixed Well Drinks (for ladies), $4 Molson Canadian (drafts), Molson Golden and Labatt Blue (bottles) all night long!

That's It. That's All I Got.
