CBTF FUNDRAISER AND THE INVASION OF BLONDE CHATTERBOX...
Last night we hosted a fundraiser for an organization called Children's Brain Tumor Foundation. One of our bartenders, Kristen, is actively involved in the organization and set up the fundraiser at the bar; she even donated her tips to the fundraiser, which was commendable. The turnout was pretty good and everyone seemed to have a good time. I think the group did pretty well too, which is always a good thing, especially when working towards a good cause.
We also got a visit from one of our former bartenders, BLONDE CHATTERBOX, who was in town for the week. Now that she lives in San Diego, we don't see much of her these days. She looks great these days, and she seems pretty happy, especially with her new man in her life (which she had in tow for all to meet). She's nutty as ever, some things will never change (And we'll even let slide the fact she forgot to tip out her bartenders), but it was good to see her.
The weekend is appearing to be a good one, weather-wise, so here's what we have on tap at the bar:
TONIGHT: "AFTER-WORK HAPPY HOUR" (5-9pm), featuring $4 Domestic Drafts and Mixed Well Drinks! NY Yankees vs CWS and NY Mets vs Philadelphia (7pm). Three potential series-ending games in the NBA and Game 1, NHL Eastern Semi-Final between Montreal and Pittsburgh!
TOMORROW: "Kick the Keg Saturday, Kentucky Derby Edition" headlines the daytime activities, featuring $2 mugs, ALL BEERS ON TAP (12-7) and live coverage of the Kentucky Derby (pre-race starts at 5pm).
SUNDAY: It's the laid back version of "Kick the Keg", $2 mugs ALL BEERS ON TAP (12-7pm); NHL/NBA playoffs on tap all afternoon, as well as MLB baseball with our MLB package.
