The summer really got off the ground as the Interns swarmed the bar, desperate for cheap beers, interaction of the opposite sex and of course, a particular basketball game.
We blew through multiple kegs of Bud/Bud Light and everyone seemed to enjoy the night's activities. The basketball game wasn't bad either as the L.A. Lakers held off a furious rally by the Boston Celtics to take a 2 games to 1 lead in the Championship series.
ANOTHER SIGN THAT THE WORLD CUP IS NEAR: We got a visit early in the evening from a German film crew who wanted to film some fans of the World Cup. It seems they were drawn to our painted window display (thanks to BABY GIRL) and figured they would find a bar filled with soccer fans. While there were more than a few fans ready for the upcoming Cup, there was no matches to display on TV. I think that the film crew was satisfied with what they saw nevertheless.
Once the German network (RTL) posts their video on the website, I'll make sure to post it here on our blog.
TONIGHT: "Stanley Cup, Game 6 Viewing Party" (8pm). The Chicago Blackhawks have a chance to close out the series against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight and win their first Stanley Cup in over 40 years! We will air the game live (w/audio) and invite all hockey fans to join us! We will also award a $25 bar tab to the biggest hockey fan of the night! So be creative, wear a jersey, paint your face, wear a goalie mask, do whatever it takes to show your team pride! (PUB TRIVIA will return next week).
