HALLOWEEN HAVOC...

I spent my birthday working a political fundraiser at the bar.  Not the most exciting way to spend a birthday but when you get to be my age, you appreciate just having birthdays these days, so it was no big deal.  One of the things that I always notice about my birthday is the fact that it falls near Halloween.  And of course, when Halloween comes around, all the freaks start popping out of the woodwork.

Sure enough, throughout the night, you begin to see various folks in costume prancing around 3rd Avenue.  Now mind you, it's only October 28th, so I gotta assume that these people are either starting off their Halloween celebrations early, or they are just doing a dry run to make sure their costumes fit properly. Whatever (I'm still overwhelmed by all of the birthday wishes, by the way).

In any case, with Halloween falling on a weekend this year, expect the unexpected.  Amateur night will be the rule of the weekend, it always is at this time of year.  You'll see plenty of costumes on the 3rd Avenue strip, from the creative, to the naughty, to the cheaply made.  It's a sight to see, but often a pain in the ass to deal with.  But it's one of those rare nights of the year when you just suck it up and roll with the punches.

One of our Facebook followers commented on our newest beer coasters and after looking at it, it make perfect sense for what's in store for the weekend...

Hopefully, you guys won't be needing to make that call this weekend!

Don't forget to post your Halloween pics on our Facebook page!  Keep in touch with what's happening at the bar on our website!

Thanks again for those of you who left me messages on Facebook, stopped by last night with your birthday wishes and to AMY SMART for her delicious Buckeyes!  You really made my day!
Enjoy the weekend!
