BACK TO NORMAL...

After a long and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend, it's back to normal today as we officially head into the holiday season.  The past weekend was relatively quiet as expected as folks hit the roads to parts unknown to spend the holiday with their families...

While many of you made the trek out of town, there were plenty of tourists in town to do some sight-seeing, parade-watching and of course, Black Friday shopping.  I can't remember how many times I counted scenes of people trampling over each other to get that coveted flat-screen TV or laptop.  Pathetic if you ask me.  I like a good deal just as much as the next guy, but not enough to lose a limb over.  Crazy stuff, I tell ya.  While many people were out and about doing some serious shopping, others dipped into the bar to escape the madness of it all.  Can't say I blame them. 

Even our usual BREW CREW SUNDAY had a different feel to it this past weekend.  For starters, the Miami Dolphins didn't play until 4pm, which meant that the hordes of DOLFANS  wouldn't arrive until later in the afternoon.  So there was a certain sense of calmness to start off the day.  BREW CREW regulars enjoyed that, I'm sure.  There were also a lot of folks with luggage in tow, looking for a place to kill some time before their flights by watching some football.  Of course there were the usual hi-jinks that take place among BREW CREW members that had everyone in stitches...

Eventually the DOLFANS rolled in just in time to catch their beloved team play and for a change, the Dolphins did not disappoint, winning on the road in Oakland in impressive fashion, much to the delight of their fans...

It turned out to be a long day and an even longer night once the Dolphins game ended. Between the locals returning home from their mini-vacations and stopping by for that "one quick one" before turning in or those few who got bumped off their flights, it made for some sore feet for yours truly once all was said and done.
