The afternoon started out with your usual contingent of DOLFANS NYC in tow to watch their team take on the Baltimore Ravens.While they came in with high hopes, they left with heavy hearts as their team lost their first road game of the year, 26-10. What made the pain less for them however, was watching their division rivals, the New England Patriots get their arses kicked by of all teams, the CLEVELAND BROWNS (always known here as "America's Team").
After the game the bar cleared out and folks began to make their way in for the NYC Marathon Party. A slow start made its way to a festive affair, filled with your usual dancing and debauchery.
A couple of hours into the party, the dance music kicked up a notch and next thing you know, Third and Long turned int Club 3 & L as runners forgot about their aches and pains from the race and began cutting up a rug in the middle of the floor. Of course, the flowing of beers helped dull any pains I'm sure.
Everyone had a great time at the party (just ask my staff), thus making Marathon Sunday a total success!
