HEAT STOPS THE "LIN-SANITY".

A capacity crowd filled the bar last night for the much-anticipated matchup between the Miami Heat and the NY Knicks.  Most of the people there were curious to see how Jeremy Lin and the new-look Knicks would fare against "The Big Three" (Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh) and of course, they were expecting another stellar performance from their newly found phenom.

Unfortunately for Lin and Knick fans in the house, the Heat had other plans for them.  After a close battle in the first half of the game, the Miami Heat found a way to shut down the rookie and the Knicks and ran away in the second half and winning the game convincingly in the process.

Of course, the local papers were quick to snuff out the phenomenon after his first rough outing as a Knick.  Is he the real deal or just a flash in the pan?  The questions are already being bandied about.  Good thing it's the NBA All-Star Break, so the team can regroup.  Man this is a tough town...

THIS WEEKEND:  Along with the NBA All-Star Break, we have the Battle of NYC tonight with the NY Rangers and Islanders fighting for bragging rights.  Congrats, by the way, to King Henrik on the impending birth of his first child!  We also have the Daytona 500 kicking off the NASCAR Season and finally, the OSCARS on Sunday night!  Should be a good sports weekend!

Cheers!
