We had a pretty stellar Happy Hour, thanks to the great weather and the fact that we were able to enjoy it our windows open. There's always something to be said for having that gentle breeze blowing into the bar while you're enjoying that post-work cocktail.
There were quite a few out-of-towners in last night, most of them here for the Big East Tournament. And of course, what would the Big East Tournament be without The Buffalo Brew Crew? For those of you out of the loop, The Buffalo Brew Crew are a group of guys who come down from Buffalo and Connecticut every year for the Big East Tournament. They are loud, obnoxious and a hoot to be around. While the official purpose of the trip is to catch the Tournament at MSG, more often than not it becomes anything but that. In fact, the running joke each year is whether or not they actually make it to a game.
It's really a boys' reunion weekend where they catch up with each other and try to relive the days of their youth. Some of these guys have been coming down for the Big East Tournament for almost 20 years and they always make it a point to make Third and Long their home base. They are great guys and we always enjoy it when they are here. So if you stop by the bar today or tonight, chances are pretty good that you'll come across them in all of their glory.
What's On Tap This Weekend: NCAA Championship Week continues with a slew of games from all of the top Conferences, airing ALL DAY LONG. It's also the start of the weekend, so as always, we offer up $4 domestic drafts/well drinks (5-9pm) to help you "de-stress" from the hectic work week.
SAT: NCAA Championship Week winds down with championship games from most of the major tournaments. It's also "Kick the Keg Saturday", where you can enjoy $2 domestic draft mugs (12-7pm)! NHL Center Ice is available if you want to catch your favorite hockey team!
SUN: Join us for "Sunday FUNday", where you can partake in $4 domestic drafts/well drinks ALL DAY LONG. It's the perfect time for you and your friends to get together and exchange notes on what happened over the weekend. If you are a hardcore NCAA March Madness fan, stick around for the Selection Sunday Show (6pm), and see if your favorite team makes it to the Big Dance. After the show, stick around and begin picking apart the choices and set up your brackets!
Weather's going to be great this weekend so there's no reason to stay home. ALSO NOTE: Clocks spring ahead on Saturday night, so don't forget to change your timepieces!
