The Men's NCAA Basketball Championship game is set, thanks to two great Final Four games over the weekend. The first matchup was the highly-anticipated "Battle of Kentucky", pitting hated rivals LOUISVILLE vs the UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY. It was a well-fought battle and it went pretty much as I expected, with the Wildcats of Kentucky proving to be a bit too much for the game Cardinals of Louisville.
In the second matchup, KANSAS faced off against OHIO STATE in a rematch of a previous meeting in which Kansas won. I expected the Buckeyes to bring the ruckus to the Jayhawks with revenge on their minds, and for one half, they did. They dominated Kansas in the first half, going into the locker room with a double digit lead. Then it looked as if they took a page from the IONA COLLEGE playbook and simply fell apart in the second half, allowing Kansas to come back and pull out a thrilling victory, stamping their ticket to the Championship game.
So tonight's game should prove to be interesting: KENTUCKY vs KANSAS (9pm, w/audio). We're offering up $2 domestic draft mugs ALL NIGHT and if things go as I think they will, there will be celebrating in the streets of Lexington, Kentucky when all is said and done. That's just my prediction. But hey, that's why they play the games! As for what may happen here, if recent history has any say in things, we may have ourselves another case of "Hot Mess Monday".
Last week's edition of "Hot Mess Monday" involved two random couples meeting at the bar, a not-so-epic "Pants Off, Dance Off" party, and two guys left with a bad case of blue balls after their dance partners ditched them during a random trip to the restroom...
