BRING ON THE HEAT...WAVE!

That's right- I said bring on the HEAT!  No, not the Miami Heat (though they are more than holding their own in the NBA Finals), mind you, but THE HEATWAVE that's due to beat down our fair city on Wednesday.  Yes boys and girls, Mother Nature is planning on bitch-slapping the city with some serious heat with temps hovering between 95-100 degrees over the next few days.  That means I better check on our AC unit to make sure it's up to the task, especially with Pub Trivia scheduled for tomorrow night.  AC don't fail me now!

EURO 2012 is finishing up the last matches of the Group Stage today, with ENGLAND facing off against UKRAINE and SWEDEN facing FRANCE.  Three of the four teams (ENG, UKR and FRA) still have a shot at advancing to the quarterfinals, while SWE will be playing spoiler.  If my calculations are correct, FRA and ENG only need a draw to advance, while UKR needs to win to advance; anything less than that and they can kiss their dreams good bye. And the fact that they all play at the same time only adds to the intrigue. Should be a fun watch.  Matches start at 2:30pm.

HOT MESS MONDAYS continued with its weekly oddball antics, this time, featuring a group of frat boys doing their worst impersonation of Eminem by performing freestyle rap over every song that played over the jukebox. It was painful to listen to and even more painful to watch as these guys really thought they were jammin'.  Oy vey...

It's also BABY GIRL's last night behind the bar at Third and Long before she moves back to California, so here's your last chance to say farewell to one of the good ones! She did a great deal for the bar and her contributions have been much appreciated by the staff and the patrons! She means a lot to us and will definitely be missed around here. So if you're in the neighborhood, please stop in for a quick one and say good bye to one of the good ones!
