JETS vs DOLPHINS: STANDING ROOM ONLY

Going into Sunday's key AFC East matchup between the NY Jets and Miami Dolphins, I knew we'd be in for a busy day.  With us being the "Dolphins Bar" of NYC and the number of hardcore regulars who are either Jet fans or Dolphins haters, it was going to be a clusterf*** of a day.  And for the most part, it was indeed a busy day.  While I expected the game to be relatively close, I didn't expect to see the game go into OT.  And while it looked as if the Miami Dolphins would walk away with a hard-fought victory, they ended up finding a way to lose the game, and crushing the spirits of the DOLFANS NYC faithful in the process.  Brutal.

Regardless as to who won, the game itself was pretty entertaining and L-O-N-G!  One of 3 OT games today.  I don't think I can recall ever seeing that happen.  After the game ended, the Jets fans celebrated with J-E-T-S chants, which I guess, set off some disgruntled Dolphins fans.  There was a bit of shoving, but we nipped things in the bud right away.  While we don't mind some good-natured ribbing between fans, we definitely do NOT tolerate any physical stuff.  At the end of the day, it's just a game.

UPDATE: Word just came out that NY Jets CB Darelle Revis is OUT for the year with a torn ACL. That certainly sucks if you are a Jets fan...

Week 3 in the NFL had quite a few upsets.  Green Bay faces Seattle on Monday Night Football.  Will the upsets continue?  Stay tuned....

As for the Dolphins?  Well, there's always next week in the "League where they play.... for PAY!"

Cheers!

I think it's safe to say that some of the Dolphins fans are of the mind that just because it's the "Dolphins Bar" it means you can't cheer for another team (especially one that the Dolphins happen to be playing). Some of the Dolfans are really nice and cordial, but there are always some bad apples that spoil the bunch and make a Sunday afternoon there very unpleasant if you're not wearing aqua/orange.
