WE'RE BACK ON TRACK.....

The last two nights were painful if you are a true sports fan. Why? It was one of those RARE stretches on the sports calendar where NOTHING of note was going on. If you turned on your TV, you got your choice of pre-season NBA (yay), old boxing re-runs (yippee) or dare I say it.... Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV. That's what you more or less had to choose from. How cruel is that?

Lucky for me, we had another edition of PUB TRIVIA CHALLENGE at the bar. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much of a crowd due to the "High Holy Days" (in this case, Yom Kippur).
And seeing that we get our fair share of Jewish patrons night in, night out, it was fair to assume that the turnout for the evening would be light.

However, again the lure of trivia brought out the masses. Not as busy as normal Trivia nights, but much better than I expected, that's for sure. I've noticed that there's a steady number of newfound regulars who make it every week to compete and I gotta give them credit, they are really into it. God bless 'em.

In the overall scheme of things, I feel like the bar is settling into a nice little groove. Ever since we re-opened, things have been going well (for the most part) and that feels good. Sure we have our little hiccups here and there, but overall, I can't complain. I guess that bodes well for me as I prepare for my trip to Quebec (that's in Canada for those in the dark) in a few weeks. Yes, boys and girls, I am FINALLY taking that trip that I've been meaning to take all these months. My itinerary is set and I'll be off to the Great North for my birthday. Looking forward to some long overdue battery charging.

TONIGHT: NHL OPENING NIGHT (via NHL Center Ice Package), MLB Playoffs (Philadelphia vs L.A.) and BUCKET O'LIGHTS, featuring BUCKETS of MICHELOB LIGHT, MILLER LITE, COORS LIGHT (5/$15.00), 5-10pm!
