UPDATES....

We've just completed the first week of renovations and like I said previously, it's been an eye-opening experience. We've completed roughly 45-50 % of the project and we're eager to get to work on the rest of the project this week. Right now we're still shooting for a target of next week for a re-opening and barring some unforeseen circumstance (like an earthquake), we should make our goal.

Our website should also be up and running this week. www.thirdandlongnyc.com, the OFFICIAL bar web site will be more of an informational tool to keep fans of Third and Long in the loop to the day to day events/happenings at the bar; The site will keep you updated to our ever-expanding beer list. It will also offer you opportunities to inquire about parties, leave comments/suggestions, etc. Check it out when it's up and running and tell us what you think. And don't worry: The Diary of Third and Long will continue to publish on a daily basis, providing you with that "stimulating" read that you enjoy so much!

AND FINALLY.....

We have a couple of birthdays to celebrate this week: Our own FIRE MARSHALL ED turns 28 on Monday, while FRENCHY hits the big 3-0 on Tuesday! A huge happy birthday wish goes out to the both of them!

And don't forget- Football season is quickly approaching, so don't forget (if you haven't done so yet), to get your SUNDAY BREW CREW shirt! Or if you just need a quick laugh, check out the SHOP!

More updates later!

BLOG UPDATE #2

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. After one day of working Internet/cable service, Time-Warner has decided to make my life miserable by cutting my cable wires AGAIN, one day after repairing my service from a similar incident over the weekend. As we speak, I am in a sweaty bodega, posting a quick update and trust me, this will be a very short one as this place reeks of b.o.

In a nutshell, I should hopefully be back up and running for good tomorrow (keep your fingers crossed). In the meantime, you should be happy to know that I have suffered greatly without Internet/cable access all week.

So until then, thanks for your patience and hopefully you'll get something from me tomorrow.
