HAPPY HAPPY HOLIDAY FUN!
Yesterday we held our 17th Annual Third and Long Holiday Bash (though I've been told that it's really our 18th Annual). Many of our old friends, family members and favorite patrons gathered to toast some cheer and raise some money in the process for a good cause. There were lots of reminiscing, lots of laughs, some casual hook-ups, and a great football game to boot (Giants' win over Carolina), which made for a pretty fun night.

As for the day itself, there were a lot of bizarre football games on tap; lot of blow-out victories and also a couple of nail biters, including one involving the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs, the NY Jets vs Seattle and the NY Giants vs Carolina. The DOLFANS showed up in full force again to support their team by taking over the bar and showing their love for the orange and blue.
The Dolphins pulled out a hard-fought victory over the Chiefs, 38-31 to solidify their hold on a playoff spot, while the NY Giants clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with an overtime thriller over the Carolina Panthers, 34-28. However, the NY Jets bit the big one, dropping an ugly snow-filled stinker of a game to Seattle, 13-3, and now they face their BIGGEST game of the year: Next Sunday vs Miami. Lose and their golden season comes to an end. It's that simple. I expect the bar to be teeming with both Jets fans and Dolfans supporters next Sunday. Should be a great game.
Overall, it was a truly fun day and best of all, thanks to everyone who attended the party, a lot of money was raised for charity and a great time was had by all.
