ABSOLUT BROOKLYN: THE NEW PHEONOMENON

Recently the vodka giant ABSOLUT came out with a limited edition bottle called ABSOLUT BROOKLYN. Inspired by movie director SPIKE LEE's "Do the Right Thing", the bottle has a special look to it; The back of the bottle has a painting of a brownstone stoop, patterned after the infamous brownstone stoop that everyone hung out in front of in the movie.

The flavor of ABSOLUT BROOKYN is pretty interesting as well as it has a distinct apple flavor (patterned after New York City's nickname "The Big Apple") with a strong hint of ginger. The taste and smell reminds me a lot of a Washington Apple shot (Crown Royal, Sour Apple Schnapps and cranberry juice).

The popular drink of choice using the ABSOLUT BROOKLYN is called "The Absolut Stoop", which is ABSOLUT BROOKLYN, Ginger Ale with a splash of Cranberry. The ladies definitely like it and I must admit, it is a smooth tasting drink. If you haven't had an opportunity to try it yet, do so and do it soon as the ABSOLUT BROOKLYN is a limited edition production and it's been harder and harder to find.Bold
Since I'm on the topic of Brooklyn, I recently came across a new reality TV show called "Scrappers", a show about a team of scrap metal collectors based out of Brooklyn, NY. Talk about a motley crew of characters. Watching these guys is a lot like watching a car wreck. You wanna look away but you can't quite do it. While these guys don't do a lot to improve the image of Brooklyn, they are in a strange way, endearing and they definitely make you laugh, both with and at them. The show airs on Tuesday nights and if you aren't at the bar enjoying DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS (shameless plug, I know), then check out the show on SPIKE TV. Let me know if you cringe as much as I did when I first watched it.

That's It. That's All I Got (for now).
