THIS SHOULD BE A WILD WEEKEND...

Last night we raffled off a pair of tickets for the upcoming NY Jets/Miami Dolphins game and we had our share of eager participants, hoping to get their hands on those tickets, especially since this game has become a "must-win" for both teams.

And when it came time to draw the winning raffle ticket, @Victallicaa, our resident "Vanna White" drew the ticket....

And made this guy a very happy man.  

Now the weekend's here and besides all of the expected hijinks that comes with Halloween Weekend, we also have the makings of a weather clusterf*** headed our way by the way of Hurricane Sandy.  In any case, that won't stop the bar from dispensing liquid debauchery for the masses....

Then there's Sunday afternoon and the usual Sunday Brew Crew antics.  The Jets and Dolphins have their rematch scheduled for 1pm, followed by another rivalry game, featuring the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys.   The DOLFANS NYC are heading to the game and depending on what happens, the late afternoon will either be a celebration or a funeral march.  In any case, regardless to what happens with the weather, good times will continue all weekend long.

On another unrelated note, the NHL announced today that they are canceling games through the end of November, with another announcement expected this Monday regarding the canceling of the Winter Classic and the All-Star Game.  Things are looking bleak for the season and unless something drastic happens, you can more or less kiss this season goodbye.  We're obviously upset and annoyed at what's taking place between the two factions involved in the negotiations (or non-negotiations, in this case);  However, if these two sides choose to alienate their fan base by canceling their season due to their continued posturing, it will be difficult to see them bounce back from this, despite their confidence in thinking otherwise.  We've said it before and and we'll say it again:  GET IT TOGETHER BOYS!
