Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

NCAA MARCH MADNESS LIVES UP TO ITS NAME!
After the craziness that transpired in college basketball this past weekend, I'm sure there were plenty of shredded bracket sheets in garbage bins all around the country. Going into this year's Men's Basketball tournament, I said that this tournament was going to be difficult to predict. There are so many evenly-matched teams that there was bound to be an upset or two- but when the likes of Georgetown, Gonzaga, Kansas St., Oklahoma St and New Mexico get knocked out early, then you know for sure that this is going to be a crazy Tournament.
Now that we find ourselves down to the Sweet Sixteen, while there are still a good number of favorites in the mix (Kansas, Louisville, Ohio State, Duke), everyone seems to have their eyes on this year's "cinderella stories", most notably Oregon, Florida Gulf Coast and LaSalle. Everyone loves a feel-good story and so far, these teams have got the fans talking, especially Florida GC, who's only been in Division I for two years. Talk about the mouse that roared! This team has made its presence felt in every game it has played in and is a legitimate threat to go far. And they are just plain fun to watch.
The Sweet Sixteen kicks off this Thursday night and let's see if Cinderella can continue to wear the magic slipper (I am personally rooting for Ohio State, by the way). You can catch every game of the NCAA Tournament at Third and Long, with great drink deals for each game!
Cheers!
