After digging out of our much-ballyhooed "snowstorm", it's great to look forward to the weekend. For starters, after the snow we received today, it's great to know that we have nothing but 50+ degree weather in the forecast for the next five days. I'll sign for that. And remember this: There's less than two weeks of winter left. Keep calm and carry on- we're almost there.
Speaking of Spring, we "spring" ahead tomorrow, turning the clocks ahead one hour and losing that precious hour of sleep in the process. At least we can enjoy that extra hour of sunlight after work!
Then next week starts one of the best weeks of the year if you live in NYC. The Big East Tournament kicks off on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, followed by St. Patrick's Day. If you are a diehard college basketball fan, you live for the Big East Tournament, not only because of the excitement that it brings, but it also signals the unofficial kick-off to March Madness and the NCAA Tournament.
As for St. Patrick's Day: Please note for all of you tourists looking to enjoy the parade on Sunday, March 17th- You'll be watching it alone because the St. Patrick's Day Parade actually takes place on Saturday, March 16th. Tradition dictates that whenever St. Patrick's Day fall on a Sunday, they march the parade on Saturday, as to not conflict with the church services on Sunday.
Speaking of St. Patrick's Day, we will be selling our "limited edition" Third and Long tees next week, just in time for the big weekend! There's a limited supply of shirts available (in green or white, sizes M-2XL), so act quickly, as it is first-come, first serve! Check our Facebook or Twitter page the actual release date of the shirts!
It's INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY today, so we plan on spending the day showing love to all of our women followers, and I hope you do the same. You know what they say: Women- you can't live with them and you can't live without them. So you may as well appreciate them. We certainly do!
TONIGHT: WEEKEND KICK-OFF HAPPY HOUR! Celebrate the women in our lives with our happy hour, featuring $4 domestic drafts, well drinks and wine (5-9pm)!
