This party was in the works for months and as we got closer to the date of the event, I couldn't help but to feel excited about the prospects of re-connecting with a lot of my former classmates. The guest of honor (Glenn Petersen) was a good friend of mine back in college and although we kept in touch through Facebook, I'd only seen him a couple of times since we'd graduated from college. So I was honored when he reached out and shared his idea about having his 50th birthday party here at Third and Long. Guests were scattered all over the East Coast so NYC was the perfect central location to have everyone get together. Because of that, I really wanted this event to go well, if for nothing else, because he is a great guy and I wanted him to have a fun time without any glitches.
And as it turned out, it was a great turnout. Everyone was genuinely happy to see one another and I got to re-connect with faces that I hadn't seen in over 20 years. It was amazing to see how we were able to pick up right where we left off years ago. And best of all, it all went off without a hitch. I tip my hat to Glenn and Kerri Petersen for getting everyone together for such a festive occasion; it was an honor to be able to help put it all together!
The Birthday Boy and his harem of lovelies!
Happy birthday buddy!
Cheers!
