That pretty much sums up our "friend". She was in rare form this weekend. And that's all I will say about that. It's time to focus on other things....but damn she makes it hard to do!
I've been getting positive feedback from the neighborhood as the legendary status (in my mind, of course) of the blog continues to grow. I plan on going out into the neighborhood and spotlighting various shops and individuals and show them a lil' bit of love. So don't be surprised if I come up to you and pick your brain about your Murray Hill experience....
Yesterday was a fun day as a number of us gathered for the Daytona 500. Yes I know what you're thinking: Who watches NASCAR in New York? That's what I used to say, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm that came with watching the race. A group of us created a contest where each of us put in some "quon" (refer to Jerry McGuire) and selected a driver. Whoever had the driver w/the best finish won the pot. It helped to keep us focused on the race while getting pickeled at the same time. Last night was pretty laid back; mostly small groups of people and couples enjoying the chilled out vibe from the music and the snow outside. Not too bad.
This is short and sweet tonite-will catch you all later.
