The title says it all as the bar was painfully slow for much of the early part of the evening. While 3rd Avenue experienced traffic gridlock like you've never seen, the foot traffic reminded me of a deserted ghost town. It was pretty strange. For much of the early part of the night there seemed to be more staff than customers. I hadn't seen a happy hour like that in years. I took a quick walk up and down the block and saw that all of the other nightspots were experiencing the same thing. What could it be? Was there a memo out that I missed? Very strange.
Eventually the night picked up at around 10pm when small groups of people started to trickle in; inebriated and many of them, carrying gift bags and such. Then it dawned on me: HOLIDAY PARTY SEASON. Now is the time where a lot of the offices hold their holiday parties. We host quite a few of them ourselves so I don't know why it didn't dawn on me before then. It made a bit more sense now....
I got an email from a member of the PEANUT GALLERY; He sent me a "not-so-flattering" photo of myself downing a Cosmo at HASHBROWNIE's going away party. It only goes to show that you never know who's watching you..... Bastards! Speaking of which, there's a H-O-T rumor going around that HASHBROWNIE may be making a special appearance at this year's HOLIDAY PARTY, direct from Florida..... hmmmm...the wheels are turning already!

FRIDAY: After Work Happy Hour (5pm-9pm). $3 Domestic Drafts/ $5 Cosmos, Appletinis and Frozen Margaritas! Live DJ spinning hits all night.
SATURDAY: "Kick the Keg" Saturdays. $2 mugs of all beers on tap (until the keg kicks! 12 Noon -8pm). Great drink specials all night long!
SUNDAY: "Fantasy Football Sundays". $3 Domestic Drafts all day long. (Bring your lunch!)
