Celebrity is defined as follows:

1. A famous person.
2. Renown; fame.
Now to what degree of celebrity-hood varies from say Tom Cruise, to Rudolph Giuliani, to say...Ryan Seacrest... They vary. But they are still considered "celebrities", nevertheless...
