BON VOYAGE, dear friend...

That was the theme of the evening as our own AMERICAN PSYCHO was given a well-deserved send-off by his work colleagues at the bar. It was his last day of work at UNIVERSAL-MCCANN, as he decided to leave to pursue some personal work projects. The turnout for his "goodbye party" was pretty good; a nice tribute to him as a work colleague and friend. I was pretty impressed, and I got the feeling that he was as well. It was nice to see.

We also had a guest bartender working with THE CONTENDER; a lovely Dominican beauty named LAUREY (an interesting name). She was definitely easy on the eyes and the male population certainly didn't complain, that's for sure.

Speaking of THE CONTENDER, the powers that be at the Diary of Third and Long selected him as its first BARTENDER OF THE MONTH. So to get to know our first BARTENDER OF THE MONTH, yours truly asked THE CONTENDER some pertinent questions for the inquiring public......

FIVE QUESTIONS FOR THE BARTENDER OF THE MONTH:

1)How long have you been at Third and Long?
Off and on, for about five years (though I tend to disagree; I'm sure it's a bit longer than that).

2)Single or Attached?
Single

3)What's something that we would be surprised to know about you?
I was a former boxer.

4)Biggest pet peeve as a bartender?
When customers yell their orders at you when you are serving someone else. Simply rude.

5)(for the ladies)Boxers or Brief?
Boxers, of course!

5a)Favorite drink?
Captain Morgan and Diet Coke

5b)Biggest tip?
I got a tip of $100 once. Made my night!

Each month, we'll highlight a different member of the Third and Long family and ask them the burning questions you want answers to! It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it!

THURSDAY: "Lite Nite" Thursday ($4.00 all LIGHT beers, both bottles and drafts), starting at 5pm!
