BIG DAY FOR THE SCARLET AND GREY!

I found myself spending a rare Saturday afternoon overseeing "Kick the Keg" Saturday and of course, the biggest game of the college football season: #1 OHIO STATE vs #2 MICHIGAN. Leading up to game time, throngs of supporters of both teams could be seen walking up and down 3rd Avenue in anticipation of what would be the ultimate battle over bragging rights and a spot in the National Championship game. I must admit, I was feeling pretty nervous about the game myself, even as I sported my old school Ohio State baseball jersey (circa. 1999).

The game lived up to its hype and then some as both teams battled it out tooth and nail, and the crowd at the bar (myself included) hung on every play. At the end, the Buckeyes of OHIO STATE held off a furious MICHIGAN rally and won the game, 42-39. After the game, happy Buckeye fans and sad MICHIGAN fans could be seen pouring out onto 3rd Avenue, a sea of scarlet and grey, as well as maize and blue. I think I even lost my voice in the process. But you can bet that it was well worth it, cause my team is going to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

FAN-tasy Football Sunday tomorrow, with $3.00 Coors Light pints and $4.00 Domestic Drafts ALL DAY LONG! SUNDAY NFL TICKET for all NFL games (see bar window for game listings).

That game was as lame as FDR's legs. I can't believe a 'national championship caliber' team would give up 39 points. You may have lost your voice, but the only thing I lost watching that game was 3 hours of my life. Oh yeah, in the real game, Auburn beat Alabama for the 5th year in a row. WAR DAMN EAGLE!

The bastards had to score that late touchdown to screw up the spread. At least the game was "over" by halftime.
