AND THEN THERE WERE TWO....

SILENCE OF THE NAY-SAYERS....

The Final Four brought about a lot of intrigue for both matchups; The first game featured OHIO STATE and GEORGETOWN, with the highlight being the highly-anticipated "Battle of the Big Men", GREG ODEN and ROY HIBBERT.

As we approached gametime, the bar filled up quickly with a pretty even number of fans for both teams. There was a lot of friendly trash-talking amongst both sets of fans, especially between myself, BETTY BOOP (Ohio State fans) and AFRIKA BAMBATTA and DIRTY SANCHEZ (G-Town fans/Ohio State haters).

The Dynamic Duo...ready for action!

Hopeful Hoya fans....

The banter grew more and more intense as the game went on, and when yours truly pulled out the MojoClicker, a wooden device that makes a rather annoying clacking sound, forget about it. I thought the Hoya fans were going to lynch me. It was beautiful.

My streak of being sexy is still intact....

"Hey now!"

It was nip and tuck throughout the whole game but when the smoke cleared, the mighty Buckeyes eeked out a hard-fought victory, much to the dismay of AFRIKA BAMBATTA and the merry band of nay-sayers. Now it was time for "America's Team" to wait to see who their opponent would be in the championship game.

Dejected Hoya fan.... staring into the abyss...

And paying the price for it....

FLORIDA/UCLA was a rematch of last year's championship game, won by the Gators. There was a sense that this would be a hard fought game as well, and at the beginning, it was. However, the mighty defending champions proved over the course of the game that they had too much height and manpower, and ended up winning over UCLA, rather easily I might add.

Now the stage is set. FLORIDA/OHIO STATE will meet in the National Championship game on Monday. Interesting fact: The same two teams met for the football National Championship in January (won by the Gators). These same two teams also met in early December (also won by the Gators). Will the third time be the charm for "America's Team"??

Stay tuned....

Don't forget about "CHILL-OUT" Sundays ($4.00 Domestic Drafts/$5 Mixed Well Drinks)!
