IRISH AMERICA magazine recently named their Top 100 Irish Americans, and they come from all walks of life; from Arts and Entertainment, to Education, Politics, Community, Sports, just to name a few. I was pleasantly surprised to read that a couple of regulars and friends of the bar made the list of the Top 100:
Stephen Duffy (pictured above, bottom of page), is a member of the FDNY and longtime great friend (and former employee) of Third and Long. He recently made news by donating his bone-marrow to help save the life of a young lady from Mexico, who needed the transplant to survive.
Martin Brennan, a longtime friend of the bar since its inception, currently works as an influential member of Senator Charles Schumer's team, as his State Director. Married with four children, Martin has always been a stand up guy and a loyal friend to Third and Long.
We congratulate both Stephen and Martin for their inclusion of Irish America's Top 100 list.
