CINCO de MAYO turned out to be a great day on a number of levels as the "Trifecta" of the party day, Kentucky Derby and of course, the DE LA HOYA / MAYWEATHER fight made this day a memorable one.
The day itself got off to a slow start, ironically enough. due to the fact that it was such a gorgeous day outside. Who wants to be inside a bar when the weather forced everyone outside? Things picked up at around 5pm, when people began to come in to catch the Kentucky Derby. I was there myself and hung out with some of the cuter female regulars, as they had some prime seats by the front windows. Speaking of females, I noticed as we got closer to post time, that the bar was filling up with more and more ladies. Whoa! I didn't know that women were into the ponies. By the time the race went off, the bar was filled with passionate race fans, cheering on their choices. Then just like that, the race was over and the bar cleared out. Which was just as well, as we needed to set up for the main event of the evening; the big fight.
Now the phone had been ringing off the hook all day long with people inquiring about the fight. Poor TOTTENHAM NEIL. He probably has a cauliflower ear from pressing the phone up against it so much.
We began letting people in at around 8:30pm and by the time the first undercard match finished, the bar was packed. By 11pm, we were turning folks away left and right because we simply couldn't fit anyone else into the place. I hear that our "cooler, CY", and BIG BLACK were taking a lot of heat at the door from people who wanted to get into the fight but were denied entry. But hey, what could they do? If the place was full, what else were they supposed to do? Start placing people on their shoulders? It's a risk you take when you show up to a big fight at the last minute. Many of the regulars were there for the event, including MR. LOW-KEY, AFRIKA BAMBATTA, T-BILL, JON CUSACK, BEN AFFLECK, STIFFLER, RUNNING MAN, just to name a few. Apologies go out to those who got shut out, but you can't say we didn't warn you.
The fight itself was great- there were fans of both fighters there and they were VERY vocal about who they supported. It was a fast-paced bout and both fighters landed many great punches, causing fans to chant"OOH and AHH" throughout the fight. When the smoke cleared, MAYWEATHER scored a split decision over DE LA HOYA, thus setting things up for a certain rematch.
Overall, the day was a huge success, thanks to the support of the patrons, and a job well done by the staff. I can't get over how smoothly everything went. Next up: RANGERS vs SABRES, Game 6 TODAY @ 2pm.

Finally taking pictures of some of the lovely ladies at Third and Long. Who was the cutie in the picture with Afika Bambatta?
B to the...
Yes, take more pictures. I too wish to masturbate to pictures of fully clothed women.
Who was the asshole at the door?
He was specifically put in place to keep cheap whiny assholes out. Sounds like he did a good job.
Just...rubbed...another...one...out. Ahh, that was good.
