REPAIR DAYJust spent the bulk of the day working on small projects around the bar; repairs that were long overdue. And even with getting some of the big projects done, the "to-do" list of things needing fixed is still long. What made the day even more dreary was the fact that it was so beautiful outside.... watching the folks walking up and down 3rd Avenue, taking in the great weather, while I'm sitting inside getting pelted with plaster. WTF?
In any case, in our neverending quest to improve the patron's total experience at Third and Long, there will be more repairs and improvements made over the course of the next few weeks.
In the meantime, I came across a pretty good joke and I thought I'd try it out on you:
One of the regulars dropped into the bar and told the bartender,
"I've just been given three weeks to live."
"How awful" sympathized the bartender.
"It's not awful, it's great!" beamed the customer. "
That's how long my wife's gonna be away on vacation!"
Funny, huh?
Okay, gotta get my pre-game nap in before work tonight.
