Right now I'm sitting in our air-conditioned bar, enjoying what feels like "nirvana" as it is hot as Africa outside. Currently the temp (as of 12:25pm) is 85 degrees but I swear, it feels like 95.
Been running into old neighbors of late. Former neighbors of the building and of the neighborhood. Upon seeing them and catching up on old times, it's funny how time flies. Some of these folks I haven't seen in four or five years, yet when you see them, the conversations pick up just like it was yesterday. One thing is for certain: "the bait ain't gettin' any fresher" over here, that's for sure. I suddenly feel old.
As I mentioned before, I'm at the bar again, currently working another double-shift. A couple of chicks I'd never seen before stopped by asking about "Girls Night Out", which makes for a promising night. Anytime you can get fresh talent at the bar, it's a good thing. Just realized too that today's August 1, which means that I have to begin preparing for the fall season. That means, football, football and MORE football. There are fantasy football drafts to prepare for, drink specials to create, lining up the football packages for TV, etc. So much to do, so little time.... *sigh*
TONIGHT: "Girls Night Out" with $3.00 Mixed Well Drinks (for the ladies, of course) and $2.50 PBR cans (or 5/$10.00) for everyone!!! Fun begins at 5pm!
And finally- I am in need of a vacation, SOON! Any suggestions on where to go? And one thing is for certain, I am very excited about catching the new BOURNE flick, opening this weekend. I'll give you my review of it as soon as I view it. Looks pretty good!
