A BANNER DAY FOR THE SUNDAY BREW CREW....

Sunday afternoon was one of those days where the unexpected ruled the day. Things that you would have never expected to happen indeed happened. Some more bizarre than others. And through all of the chaos, most of the patrons had one hell of a time. For example:

The CLEVELAND BROWNS probably single-handedly destroyed elimination pools all over the country by scoring an improbable upset of the much-favored CINCINNATI BENGALS in a high-scoring affair, 51-45. As much as I enjoyed seeing the upset take place, with my dumb luck I had to choose CINCINNATI in my elimination pool, thus getting myself knocked out in the process. I can't catch a break. Some people fared worse than me, however....

There was our own MR. CHIPS, the resident NY GIANTS fan. Whenever his team plays, he becomes this different person. When I say he's a hardcore fan, he's HARDCORE. How many fans do you know that does a ritual chant before each game and after every touchdown his team scores? Throughout the course of the game, he's so locked into the action that he often loses track of his beverages, so by the end of the game... I think you catch my drift....

This is MR. CHIPS at 1pm during the kickoff of his game vs the GREEN BAY PACKERS.....

An hour later.... MR. CHIPS, not looking too pleased at the way his team is performing thus far.....

Another hour later.... things aren't looking very good for the hometown GIANTS.... or for MR. CHIPS.....

By the time the game ended, things looked bleak for our hometown team as they lost another game. As you can see, MR. CHIPS took the loss rather hard. I couldn't help but to feel for a brotha....

At this point, MR. CHIPS looks like a broken man. Bless his heart. There's always next week, my friend.

While MR. CHIPS was losing is spirit (and probably his lunch) over his team's loss, the rest of the bar was enjoying the day.

BLONDE CHATTERBOX, looking perky as usual....

A long overdue appearance from a blast from the past, THE GOOD SAMARITAN, here mugging it up with a couple of STEELER NATION FANS...

A future SUNDAY BREW CREW member.....

MR. CHIPS.... in a rather sad state....

BABY GIRL, fresh off of her triathlon performance in Long Island...

The CANDEE twins and their lovely muse...

A couple of members of THE STEELER NATION CREW.... how cute.

AFRIKA BAMBATTA and one of the CANDEE TWINS, chillin' out...

I've never seen anyone make such a face when being kissed by her husband...

THE GOOD SAMARITAN, trying to push up on some cuties....

At some point during the day, THE SUNDAY BREW CREW CUPID struck again (it seems to happen around this time every year) and found a couple of lucky birds to sprinkle its love potion over....

Um, hello? Victory celebration perhaps?

More celebrating? It's only Week 2, folks....

meanwhile, the rest of the BREW CREW kept on doing what they do best: drink and have fun!

While others found better things to do....

Just another Sunday at Third and Long....

MONDAY NIGHT: DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS (4pm-close), $1.00 Bud/Bud Light mugs! MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WASHINGTON vs PHILADELPHIA), 8PM!
