It's looking more and more like the improbable is going to happen as the CLEVELAND INDIANS rolled to a stunning 7-3 victory over the BOSTON RED SOX to take a commanding 3 games to 1 lead in the A.L.C.S.
What started out as a pitcher's duel turned into a rout for the Tribe as they exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to blow the game open. Refusing to go down without a fight, the RED SOX came back with back-to-back-to-back home runs in the top of the sixth to make things interesting, but the Tribe settled down and held the boys from RED SOX NATION in check to seal the deal.
With the series now at 3-1 in favor of Cleveland, the teams get a day off before resuming the series on Thursday, in what could be the clincher for the Tribe and their first trip back to the Fall Classic since 1997. Not to be cocky or anything, but I'm going out to get a bottle of champagne ready for Thursday. Boo-yah!In other "news"... It seems that there are folks out there "chomping at the bit" to become the NEW MAYOR of MURRAY HILL. The current MAYOR of MURRAY HILL has been a fixture in the neighborhood pretty much since the bar opened and has always been a mainstay of THIRD and LONG. However, it seems that some of the newbies (one in particular who has a preference for the color "pink") feels that the current MAYOR hasn't been living up to his title and thus a change is in order. Not sure if this is a "power play" of sorts or what, but I don't think that the current MAYOR OF MURRAY HILL will be that easily replaced..... What say you?
