HUMP DAY A-HOPPIN'....
Last night was a surprisingly active Wednesday night, filled with tourists and regulars alike. What started out as a mellow happy-hour quickly filled with small groups of patrons; some were there to enjoy the new Coors Light bucket special (5/$15.00), while others were there to take advantage of the ample sports programming available on our TV's.
Last night was also a night of firsts for one of my patrons, REDSKINS GIRL. She had been on me for months to give her a shot at bartending. So I decided to finally give her a taste of what it's like to be behind the bar at Third and Long. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised to see that she took to bartending like a fish to water. While she was a bit nervous at first (as is the case with most guest bartenders), she handled herself well. So who knows, we may have a budding bartender in our midsts.
Remember when I wrote about the latest crime episode taking place (the robbery of the candy store up the block)? Well, no sooner than I finish writing about that when I find out that the eyeglass store further up the block got robbed Wednesday morning! Are you kidding me? They (the police) think that it may have been the same guy who robbed the candy store the night before. Talk about balls! In any case, I've told my staff to be alert and to be careful with who's coming in and out of the bar. Most important thing to me is to make sure that my patrons and friends feel safe in and around our bar.
THURSDAY:
"Lite Nite Thursdays" (4pm-10pm): $4.00, all LIGHT beers (bottles/drafts). $3.00 Molson Canadian drafts (during all NHL Hockey Games- catch the NHL CENTER ICE package here!)

I don't know man, I was thinking about flying in for a visit but if you have some looney with a gun holding people up... Oh wait, I won't have any money left after I have to drop my pants and take it in the ass for a NY hotel room. Hey, do they have any sleazy brothels in the neighborhood? Figure I might have a little fun if I'm going to be paying that much.
B to the...
You told them their team was rubbish? Rubbish? Nice.
I sure did. Ain't I a stinker?
