IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY..... YIPPEE.

February 14 has arrived. The most commercialized day of the year (outside of Christmas) is upon us and for those of you who are in relationships, I couldn't feel more sorry for you. The pressure is officially on to show off your "romantic side" by way of expensive flowers, dinners, gifts, cards and such. The pressure is now on to get things "just right" or else you are considered "not romantic". And the ones who benefit most from your goals to be "romantic"?

Of course, the usual suspects: GODIVA, HALLMARK, 1-800-FLOWERS, and the multitudes of restaurants who jack up their prices for one day. Boy, do I feel sorry for you lot. Let it be said that I am not against romance and showing the love. However, showing the love should come naturally and done on a daily basis, not center it on one specific, commercialized day.

It's fairly obvious by now that I represent the happy and care-free singles who (while they may be single) are devoid of having to deal with such pressures. Yesterday we hosted a "singles" event just for them, and while the inclement weather kept the numbers down, I'm going to take it upon myself to carry over the specials from last night over into tonight. So.......
