GUESS WHO'S IN TOWN?
If you notice a sudden uptick in traffic on your commute to work this morning, that's because our president is in town to give a speech. And you know whenever he comes to town, the city's traffic gets turned upside down. Yay. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Last night was a night filled with basketball pundits as the Big East Tournament took center stage at bars around the area, ours included. As expected, the BUFFALO CREW showed up for the games and immediately made their presence felt in the bar. A rambunctious bunch as I mentioned before, I had to step in to remind one of the members about the smoking law of NYC as he decided to open up the window and light up a cigar. He was immediately apologetic- no harm, no foul.
We also got a late night visit from our former day bartender, EDDIE G. as he and a large contingent returned from one of the many St. Patrick's Day-themed dinners taking place around the city. We reminisced over the glory days when he held court on a daily basis behind the stick. One of my favorite people, bar none, it's always great to see him.
In the meantime, it was all basketball all night long as the TV's were dominated with college tournaments from all over the country. Talk about hardwood overload (I think I just served up a serious softball on that one)!

Marquette's still in it, buddy! Even though I only went there for two years and freaking hated it... I'll still root for them over your eastern Big East teams.
