ORTIZ JERSEY SELLS AT AUCTION!

Remember that now-famous incident where some construction worker secretly buried a DAVID ORTIZ jersey in the new Yankee Stadium that under construction? Well, the team decided to "unearth" the jersey to keep the bad luck spirits away. They took it a step further and decided to put the jersey up for auction for a nice charity in the Boston area.

Well, they had the auction and the jersey sold for, get this:

$175,000!!!


Are you kiddin' me?? Maybe I should bury my well-worn windbreaker in our basement and have one of you folks sell it on eBay when I die. Maybe we'll get 30 bucks for it.

At least the money's going to a good cause.
