GUESS WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL?

I guess it's official now. Along with this "official proclamation" came a pretty nifty looking plaque, which we'll "unveil" at our "Victory Party", tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 27th (more details to follow).
Just realized that today is July 31, which means that summer as we know it, is almost over! While that is a sad thing in one sense, it's great news in another way: FOOTBALL SEASON IS NEARLY HERE! Another affirmation of that fact was the delivery I got from DIRECT TV- our yearly football package of advertising goodies! So while the summer has been a good (and hot) one, I clearly look forward to the upcoming fall season.
That being said, we'll be accepting new applications for SUNDAY BREW CREW members. The SUNDAY BREW CREW is a fellowship of hard-core football fans who get together each week for an afternoon of all things football (and a few things that aren't). They are a tight-knit bunch who cherish their time together and make watching the NFL a truly unique experience. These guys have been together in some way, shape or form for many years, and even though many of our members have moved on to new chapters in their lives, they are and will always be BREW CREW in our hearts.
Some of the characteristics of a BREW CREW MEMBER include:
a) Hardcore fan of football. No fly-by-night types allowed. This means wearing your favorite team colors, understanding the rules of the game, etc.
b) Have a personality. All members of the BREW CREW have their own unique way about them, so you should also stand out in your own way.
c) Thick-skinned. There's a lot of good-natured ribbing that takes place between members, so you gotta have a thick skin. If you can't stand the heat- stay out of the kitchen!
d) Drama-free zone. Sunday football is a time where one escapes from their droll, mundane lives and the drama that comes with it. Face it, we all have drama in our lives. Just leave it at home on Sundays.
e) Carry your own weight. BREW CREW members don't mind taking care of one another ("You buy a round, I'll buy the next.."), but there's no toleration for freeloaders.
So that's just a sampling of the expectations that we have for BREW CREW members. If you THINK you have what it takes to hang with the CREW, submit your "application" (tongue-in-cheek) and we'll review it. Pics encouraged!

Gourmet Beers and fancy secret society applications...
is this Third and Long Bar; or Third and Long Country Club?
True dat! I like how you're promoting beers that I can't even pronounce and immediately follow that with five Lites for $15. You're a funny man, Swanny, a funny man.
