OOPS....

Just realize that I forgot to post today. Between running around with bar and personal stuff, I simply let it fall by the wayside. My bad.

Last night was another successful edition of Dollar Draft Madness. FRENCHY once again held down the fort, with the assistance of last-minute replacement, KATE FROM MINNESOTA, who filled in for one of our regular 'tenders. I have to say that not only was she pretty nice on the eyes, but she more than held her own against the rigors for mug-slinging. She even showed a feisty side to her, putting a rude patron in his place when he bitched about having too much foam in his beer (she said in a very calm tone "Well you can always go to the bar down the street...."). She definitely pitched in well in a pinch and we may have to give her another look....

OBSERVATION #1: Walking around Manhattan today, I couldn't help but to notice an increasing number of stunning/sexy redheads popping up all over the place. Anyone who knows me know that I've always had a thing for them, so to actually see them appearing out of nowhere more and more these days.... well let's just say that I'm in heaven. Giddy-up!

OBSERVATION #2: What is it about folks who come into the bar looking for a job, yet appear to not having any sense of pride about themselves? We get on average 8-10 people per day, inquiring about work. I would say of that number, maybe two will come in prepared to meet with someone about a job. I mean, prepared with a resume, dressed appropriately and focused on the task at hand.

Instead, I get a bunch of nitwits who come in with tank tops, ripped jeans, no resumes and looking to get hired. Even worse is when someone comes in to inquire about a bartending gig, then end up hanging out at the bar and getting shit-faced, revealing their true colors. I tell you, I just don't get it. Just thought I'd share that.
