If you caught the Oscars telecast last night, you got to see the domination of SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, the little movie from India that I recommended months ago as the must-see movie of the year. It took home a slew of awards, topped by Best Picture and Best Director. It was great to see this movie win, especially in light of the fact that it almost didn't make it to theatres in the first place. If you haven't seen the film by now, get your head out of the sand and check out this film.
This past weekend was our Staff Night Out and we had a blast. Starting with a great dinner at YELLOWHOOK GRILLE in Bay Ridge, the staff had the opportunity to unwind away from the bar and have a good time. After stopping off at M.J. Armstrong's for a few, we somehow ended up back at Third and Long and the staff closed the place, while feeling no pain in the process. Thanks go out to THE DON and THE IRON MAN, YELLOWHOOK GRILLE and MJ ARMSTRONG'S for being gracious hosts during the evening's festivities.
