The NCAA Men's Tournament resumed last night and produced some interesting results. In the early games, UCONN had little trouble with PURDUE, dispatching them by the score of 72-60. PITT, however, survived a scare by holding off a very game XAVIER, thanks to some heroics by LEVANCE FIELDS and his fall-away three pointer with seconds to go. PITT went on to win, 60-55.
The late games featured VILLANOVA and DUKE in one game and MISSOURI vs MEMPHIS, last year's finalist. DUKE had its tourney hopes dashed by a dominant 'NOVA squad who let everyone know that they were here to stay. Score: 77-54.
MISSOURI, on the other hand, won the battle of the TIGERS, surprising MEMPHIS (and everyone else) by the score of 102-91, ending MEMPHIS' 27 game winning streak.
WHAT TO TAKE FROM THIS? The Big East is the real deal. Going into tonight, they still have five teams remaining in the tournament and look more and more formidable with each passing round.
As for me, I see that my Final Four picks are still intact. Let's see what happens tonight....
BON VOYAGE...

She is/was one of the more animated and lovable members of the Brew Crew, providing laughs and entertainment for many years. Join us this weekend as we say our goodbyes to her and wish her well in her future endeavors. She has certainly left her mark at Third and Long and she will definitely be missed.
