BLUE WAVE....The NCAA Championship game took place last night. Problem is, someone forgot to tell Michigan State.
Their opponent, North Carolina, put on a clinic en route to a thoroughly dominating 89-72 victory in the main event of the Big Dance. What was supposed to be a close game due to the "home court advantage" held by Michigan State turned out to be a baffling one-sided affair. The Tar Heels jumped out to a 22-7 lead early on, put the pedal to the metal and never looked back. As a matter of fact, they set a Championship record by scoring 55 points... in the first half! Even after letting the foot off the gas a bit in the second half, Michgan State still couldn't mount a comeback as the Tar Heels won this thing going away, in front of a once-hostile, pro-MSU crowd. It was ugly.
So with that game done, the Tar Heels are the champs of the NCAA, and rightfully so. As predicted by yours truly.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTERS START TODAY
Switching over to the "Beautiful Game", the UEFA Champions League tournament moves on to their "Elite Eight" today with two big matchups:
MANCHESTER UNITED vs FC PORTO
VILLAREAL vs ARSENAL
VILLAREAL vs ARSENAL
Both matches begin at 2:30pm and we'll carry both matches LIVE!
MLB OPENERS CONTINUE
Opening Day in Major League Baseball continues today with plenty of games kicking off this afternoon. Of course, we'll carry as many games as our TV's will allow, thanks to the MLB Extra Innings package!

AND FINALLY: It's D-DAY for the NY Rangers as they meet my team, the MONTREAL CANADIENS tonight in a HUGE game as both teams fight for the last playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Montreal is up by one point with both teams having three games left going into tonight. Yours truly will be at the game, and will report on the results afterwards.
