AIR DORK ONE.... CALLING AIR DORK ONE...

Yesterday the Manhattan skyline was surprised by a fly-by of a rather large, imposing plane, followed by a F-16 fighter jet. The plane, flying as low as 1,000 feet above the skyline, had startled downtown workers and residents scrambling out of their buildings as the planes flew over the Statue of Liberty, prompting fears of a repeat of 9/11.

As it turns out, the plane in question wasn't just any hijacked plane, but AIR FORCE ONE, the official plane of the President of the United States. Turns out the plane was doing a fly-by for a photo op. A STAGED PHOTO OPPORTUNITY! Really??

Problem with that was that no one was notified of the photo op. Strike that: No one of importance, like our Mayor, for instance. Apparently the President himself wasn't aware of the photo op taking place either as he was still in Washington D.C., doing Presidential duties that included meeting and greeting the UConn Women's Basketball Team. DOOMSDAY TUESDAY

We have TWO Game 7 matchups tonight involving our local hockey teams. The NY RANGERS face off against WASHINGTON, tied 3-3, after being up 3 games to 1 just last week. Meanwhile, the NJ DEVILS host the CAROLINA HURRICANES with the winner moving on and the loser going to the golf course. We'll carry BOTH Game 7's LIVE tonight (with sound)! Get there early to snag a spot!

SWINE FLU ALERT

There seems to be a mild panic going on regarding the recent discovery of SWINE FLU. Do me a favor, if you think you have SWINE FLU, stay home. Hell, if you think you have any flu-like symptoms, stay home. That's all.


CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS!

The semi-finals of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE kick off this afternoon with a brilliant matchup between BARCELONA and CHELSEA! The second semi-final takes place tomorrow with MANCHESTER UNITED facing ARSENAL. Not a bad final-four! Matchtime: 2:30pm!

Over the weekend we hosted the NYC DOL-FANS NFL Draft Party at the bar, for the fans of the Miami Dolphins. Here's a video link of the day's events (also found on the Miami Dolphins official website)!

We're expecting to hit record high temps today so brace yourselves for a hot one. This will be the first real test of our AC this season and I'm reasonably confident that we'll be okay. Don't forget to wear deodorant as we will be turning away any funky-smelling, sweaty folks at the door (smile).
