AN INTERESTING SUNDAY...
I'm working behind the stick today so my post will be brief. I will followup with a more lengthy post tonight that will include the highlights of Sunday afternoon, a fun day with hints of the bizarre mixed in. Emphasis on BIZARRE. Pics to follow.
We now know who's in the NBA's Final Four and it should be a good one: Lakers vs Nuggets in the Western Conference (my prediction: Lakers in six) and Cavaliers vs Magic in the Eastern Conference (my prediction: Cavs in six). The fun begins tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, Detroit and Chicago kicked off the Western Conference finals of the Stanley Cup, with the Red Wings taking game 1, 5-2. I think this series will be tougher than most people think, with the Red Wings ultimately taking the series and moving on to defend their title in the Finals.
The Pittsburgh Penguins face off against Carolina in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals tonight in Pittsburgh in what should be another fun series to watch. I predict an upset here with Carolina stealing the series and returning to the Finals for the first time since they won the Cup a few years back.
RECESSION MONDAYS resume tonight with $2.00 Domestic Draft Mugs (Sam Adams, Brooklyn Pennant Ale, Sam Adams Summer Ale, Blue Moon, Sixpoint Sweet Action) or for those who are really economically challenged, $1.00 Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light mugs, starting at 4pm! There's also a promo tonite to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of NY Press, the local paper. They will be raffling off prizes in honor of their anniversary, so make sure to join us tonight!
AND FINALLY: R.I.P. to Assistant Principal Mitchell Weiner, who was the first NYC casualty of the Swine Flu virus. Sucks to go out like that.
Nuff Said
