LAST BREW CREW SUNDAY OF THE DECADE..

Yesterday was a busier than usual edition of BREW CREW SUNDAY, featuring lots of meaningful games, tons of laughs and hijinks and more importantly, folks with Monday off, which means... lots of debauchery.

The period between Christmas and New Years is typically a down time due to the fact that many of our regulars are away for the holiday break. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to see the number of folks in for an afternoon of football and fun times.

Crazy games ruled the day as the Miami Dolphins and NY Giants suffered heart-breaking losses and the NY Jets had an improbable win over the undefeated Indianapolis Colts in what could best be described as a topsy-turvy day in the NFL.

Now that the smoke has somewhat cleared in the playoff races, next weekend's slate of games, the last weekend of the regular season, has HUGE ramifications in the AFC playoff hunt. The division winners are all set; however, there are STILL seven teams mathematically in the hunt for the final two spots- more than a few of them playing one another. So many tie-breakers could come into play that depending on what happens, certain scenarios may even play out to the most improbable of tiebreakers: a coin-flip. How crazy is that?

I expect nothing but good times going into the last regular season weekend of BREW CREW SUNDAY!

In the meantime, a bevy of regulars, tourists and football fans made their way in and out of the bar and brought with them all kinds of interesting scenarios. More scenarios that I could possibly describe here. You'll have to go to our FACEBOOK page to check out the photos and sort it out for yourself. I can say, however, that during the course of the day, it suddenly dawned upon me that it was the last Brew Crew Sunday of the first decade of the new millennium! Holy crap! It's been ten years of fun times. Where did the time go? A flood of memories went through my mind as I think about all of the people who were at one time or another, a member of the Sunday Brew Crew. The good times we had and the bonds we developed. Lots of great memories. And to think, what started out as a small, close-knit group of five or six, grew into an infinite number of friends, associates and fans of the bar. A remarkable run.

While I can't say for sure how much longer I can take this ride, I can say for certain that it's been an enjoyable one.

Big "ups" to the Sunday Brew Crew and hopefully many more years of "Good, Pouring Fun".

TONIGHT: "Monday Night Football" hosts its last game of the season, featuring the Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings in a pivotal matchup (8pm). $2 Domestic Draft mugs and $1 Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light mugs ALL NIGHT LONG!

That's It. That's All I Got.
