FIST PUMPIN' EXCITEMENT...
Last night was one of the rare Thursday nights on the Avenue where you saw practically NO foot traffic whatsoever. Not really sure what the reason for that was. It wasn't as cold as it had been the previous nights, so you would have thought that folks would be eager to go out. But that wasn't the case. We had small pockets of groups here and there, but for the most part, it was a quiet night.
So quiet that the highlight of our night was watching episodes of JERSEY SHORE on MTV. It's become a bit of a guilty pleasure amongst the staff as we compare the show to watching a train wreck or a car accident on a highway. You know you shouldn't look at it, but at the same time, you can't look away. Oy vey! I wish I had more to report, but sometimes you can only squeeze so much juice out of a lemon. It was one of those nights. I expect better things this weekend.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes goes out to.................... RUBY! Our resident mascot celebrates her first birthday today! Of course, she'll probably get more treats than she'll ever need but hey, we always gotta spoil the ones we love, right?
HIGHLIGHT of the WEEKEND: Aside the fact that it's Martin Luther King Weekend, which means a long weekend for many of you, there's a BIG GAME taking place this Sunday featuring the NY Jets and San Diego Chargers. We're hosting a NY JETS PLAYOFF VIEWING PARTY featuring $4 Bud/Bud Light and Coors Light pints during the game; we're also getting a visit from the COORS LIGHT Models, who will be conducting giveaways during the game. And if you are wearing Jets or Chargers jerseys, you'll get $1 off all other drafts (except Delirium Tremens) during the game. So make sure you show your allegiance to your team and cheer them to victory!
That's about it on my end. Make sure to check out our website to keep up with what's happening at Third and Long!
That's It. That's All I Got.
